Vincenzo Mogavero, Capable One

    This brother was inducted into the Order of the Arrow in 1999 and sealed his membership in the Brotherhood in 2000. He has proven himself as an active and dedicated member of Phoenix Chapter. An Eagle Scout and Silver Heron recipient, this brother has given outstanding leadership to our ceremonies team, adding value and quality to which candidates and brothers alike reaped the benefits of his dedication. Serving as a member of the Ten Mile River Camp Staff, as Asst. Director to the Village Outpost, this year he will return to Camp Keowa as the Scoutcraft Director. His positive attitude has inspired others to do outstanding tasks and further give service. As one brother noted in his recommendation, "He has been a capable and inspirational leader to us all." It is for these reasons that Shu-Shu-Gah Lodge is proud to elevate Vincenzo Mogavero to the Vigil Honor. The Indian name given is Tschitanissowagan, which is interpreted as Capable One.


Lawrence Edwards, Leader From the Shadows

    This Brother was elected to the Order of the Arrow in 1997, and sealed his membership in the Brotherhood in 1999. A Silver Heron recipient, he has held various leadership roles in the Order of the Arrow and Scouting, most poignantly serving as Scoutmaster of Troop 45 in Brooklyn, Associate Chapter Adviser of Shawondassee Chapter and Lodge Brotherhood Adviser. Any task taken upon him he approaches with tremendous enthusiasm and energy. A selfless leader amongst our lodge, he allows others to take the limelight, as he is content in giving service for the greater good of all. As one brother noted in his recommendation "His commitment to our program and developing youth leadership is an example of what a true adviser should be." . For service to Shu-Shu-Gah Lodge and Shawondassee Chapter, the Vigil Honor is presented to Lawrence Edwards. The Indian name given is Takachsin Machtapamukqu, which is interpreted as Leader from the Shadows.
