Shu-Shu-Gah Makes Headlines

During the 1994 National Order of the Arrow Conference (NOAC) held at Purdue University, Shu-Shu-Gah Lodge took Founders' Day by storm! Brothers from across the nation were invited to take an authentic ride on the "B" Train to Coney Island. There they were greeted by native Brooklyn-ites, and feasted on Nathans (pronounced: Nate' inz) Famous Franks. Some subway riders were even lucky enough to have a run-in with Pete the Pitiful Pickpocket, aka Marty Maher. Throughout the day, he gladly relieved many passengers of their random Founders' Day possessions... that is, until he was stopped by the NOAC Police.

The Lodge took first place that year for Founders' Day booths, and was featured in the May-June 1995 edition of Scouting Magazine with a full page photo (shown below.)
