Every year, Order of the Arrow youth leadership and members of the National Order of the Arrow Committee gather in Dallas for the biggest OA planning event of the year. These top leaders from all over the country assemble for an intensive four-day session, known as the Order of the Arrow National Planning Meeting. During the meeting the general state of the Order is discussed and planning for the upcoming program of emphasis begins. One of the most important functions of the National Meeting is to elect new national officers. Six positions are filled at the Meeting; national chief, national vice-chief, and a region chief for each of the four regions.

This year one of Shu-Shu-Gah’s own, Ian Pinnavaia has been elected to serve as Chief of the Northeast Region. The Northeast Region serves more than 44,000 Arrowmen over 75 lodges across the northeastern United States, Puerto Rico, the US Virgin Islands, and the Transatlantic Council spanning across the globe.
